How to do PSM (Post-Stall Maneuver) in Ace Combat 8
To perform a PSM in Ace Combat 8: 1) Decelerate below 500 km/h (270 knots) in level flight, 2) Hold Throttle (R2/RT) + Brake (L2/LT) simultaneously, and 3) Pull back the Pitch Stick (Left Stick Down) within 0.5 seconds.

Airspeed Scrub (< 500 km/h)
Ensure the nose of your aircraft is leveled with the horizon. Tap or hold the airbrakes until your HUD airspeed readout displays under 500 km/h (or 270 knots). Release the pitch stick completely.
Keyboard: Hold 'S' or Decelerate
Simultaneous Gas + Brake
While maintaining zero pitch or roll deflection, press and hold the Accelerate AND Decelerate triggers together. This activates the flight control computer's thrust-vectoring bypass mode.
Keyboard: 'W' + 'S' together
Slam Pitch Back (Cobra vs Kulbit)
Immediately slam the left stick down.
• Pugachev's Cobra: Release the stick at 90° pitch to lock enemy pursuing you.
• Kulbit Loop: Hold stick back continuously to flip 360° behind them.
